Sign-up with the BEE
Want more money to flow into your pocket?
It’s simple; email me with the list of goods/services you’d like to offer up for a percentage of payment to be accepted with the BEE local currency.
What I’ll need to know is this:
Your Name
Your phone number
Your place of business
What good/service you have to offer
Percentage of U.S./Bee accepted (we don’t recommend businesses start out at more than a 50/50 split).
Your good/service cost (if it is simple).
Existing businesses/service providers:
The BEE offers a unique opportunity to attract a completely new client base, and solidify relationships with your current clientele.
Everyone else:
Be open to your inspirations and gifts…there is surely something you are inspired to do that someone else will appreciate! Think food; entertainment; construction services; consulting; professional services; seminar facilitation; yard maintenence; painting; photography; glass blowing; fire-dancing; art; mechanic work; housecleaning; child care; entertainment; dj-ing; car washing; errand service; computer help; graphic design; you name it! Offer it up people…it’s the new way our community is exchanging goods and services….Sustainably!
Is Sisters a part of the community that would be included in this?
Yes…Central Oregon within a 30 minute radius of Bend.
“The BEE is a non-profit, local currency that will focus on localization efforts to bring economic sustainability to Central Oregon.”
Maybe you should change Central Oregon to Bend. It seems short-sighted to impose that limit.
Thanks for the comment Camille. The steering committee has gone round and round on the issue of geographic participation. As a group, we’ve decided that by including Central Oregon we will better be able to assist all of Central Oregon in becoming more focused on sustainability. That said, I can assure you that my focus will be in Bend…if anybody in another location wants to participate in the BEE, it will be up to them to pull the resources to make it happen…local input, local control, local participation. We simply don’t have the resources to spread around…Bend will be a big enough project, as I’m sure you can imagine.
